AT LAWA,
WE ARE MORE THAN A SERVICE PROVIDER;
WE ARE A COMMUNITY.

Our work is rooted in the collective experiences of Latin American and other global majority women living in the UK.

Through our community programmes and research, we create spaces where women can connect, organise, reflect on shared struggles, and build new ways of supporting one another. These spaces are shaped by our cultures, languages, migrant journeys, and political resistance.

Our research is grounded in lived experience and serves as a powerful tool to challenge injustice and advocate for systemic change.

In this section,
you’ll find more about our:

Change Makers programme

With spaces for both adult women and girls (Chavitas) to reflect, learn and act together.

Growing Together programme

A warm and creative space for women over 50 to build connections and celebrate culture.

English lessons

Breaking language barriers and creating access to daily life in the UK.

Research and policy work

Based on lived experience, highlighting the barriers migrant women face, particularly in housing and VAWG services, and advocating for systemic change through survivor-led research and strategic partnerships.

Volunteer opportunities

For Latin American and other global majority women who want to contribute and grow within our community.

We believe in community as a source of care, strength and transformation, especially for migrant women navigating life in the UK.
